Sazerac House Stirs Up Seasonal Celebration Cocktails with November Virtual Tastings Schedule
Guests enjoy complimentary spirited demonstrations and special tips to create their own in-home gatherings and celebrations
NEW ORLEANS, LAÂ (November 10, 2020)
Who: Matt Ray, Rhiannon Enlil and Drink & Learn’s Elizabeth Pearce, along with members of the Sazerac House experience team.
What: This November, the team at the Sazerac House is setting up virtual tasting guests with the knowledge, skills and material suggestions they need to host holiday gatherings, whether virtual or with small in-person groups. Featuring spirits like Myers’s Rum, Henry Ramos Gin, Jung & Wulff Luxury Rums and the official spirit of the Sazerac House, Sazerac Rye, the virtual tastings are complimentary and the ideal in-home happy hour for everyone from cocktail aficionados to beginning home bar enthusiasts. The virtual tastings offer everything from pairing suggestions to the secrets to the perfect Old Fashioned Bar, and behind the scenes whiskey distilling tips and prohibition secret sippers.
Each session is 45 minutes long, limited to 50 participants and cocktail kits with the ingredients for each cocktail will be available for pre-order and curbside pickup at the Sazerac House, with 10% of proceeds going to benefit the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation.

Due to state and city regulations, cocktail kits cannot be shipped and are for curbside pickup only.

Why: Physical distancing doesn’t have to mean social distancing, and the Sazerac House is giving guests an opportunity to up their game in creating their own cocktails so they can gather friends and family virtually to shake and stir up a spirited celebration.
 In addition, 10% of the proceeds from the sales of the cocktail kits will go to support the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, which was founded in 2006 and works to strengthen Louisiana’s hospitality industry through support of individuals within the community. They operate grant programs that provide support for hospitality and culinary education programs and provide financial assistance to people in the hospitality industry during times of crisis.

Cocktail Kit orders must be received 24 hours before the corresponding workshop, and orders can be picked up 10:00am-4:00pm on the day of the workshop. At pickup, social distancing requirements will be followed, including 6-foot-spacing in the waiting area, personal protective equipment for the Sazerac House team and an acrylic shield between the street and the Sazerac House team member.
